Folkstyle: Points

A pin occurs when your opponent is on their back with both shoulders touching the ground If you can turn your opponent onto their back for 3 seconds, you will gain 2 points; If you can hold him on to his back for 5 second then you'll gain 3 points. you can achieve this by doing tilts and unsuccessful pinning combinations. A reversal will give you 2 points. Penalties typically gives the opponent of the offender 1 or 2 points depending on the penalty. There are many technicalities to folkstyle as well as any other form of wrestling.
